Jill Biden declared she is "all in" for her husband despite questions about whether he should stay in the race.
The First Lady campaigned in Wilmington, North Carolina on Monday where she lashed her husband's rival Donald Trump as "disgraceful".
"For all the talk out there about this race, Joe has made it clear that he is all in," she said.
"That's the decision that he has made, and just as he has always supported my career, I am all in too."
Addressing veterans and military families, Jill Biden made clear the campaign was "personal" as she trashed Trump's record over the community.
"This is personal to us, we know what it is like to wait to connect on a lagging phone call from across the world, to smile through another holiday with an empty chair at the table," she said.
"Does Donald Trump know what it is like?
"Donald Trump wakes up every morning thinking about one person, and one person only: himself."
Some Democrats have urged President Biden, who's 81, to step down due to his age after a poor debate performance.
The First Lady has remained steadfast in her support of her husband despite concerns about his mental acuity.
