Hi everyone! On this video, I’m going to show you how we availed the cheapest RT-PCR swab test for tourists in the Philippines. We used this as part of our requirements when we went to Boracay.
Effective March 5, 2021, the TPB and PCMC suspend the applications for RT-PCR subsidy for tourists, you may still register to TPB via PGH instead. Full announcement below:

What is the subsidized RT-PCR tests by DOT-TPB?
It is for qualified domestic tourists is part of Tourism Promotions Board’s recovery strategies to support the Philippine tourism industry which has been adversely affected by the ongoing pandemic.
How much does it cost?
For only PHP750, you will get an RT-PCR swab test with result within 24 hours - which is important in the new normal travels.
What are the requirements?
To qualify,
* You must have proof of hotel booking in a DOT-accredited accommodation to operate (Link to this list is in the description box below)
* Next is a proof of mode of transportation (Either Flight, Bus or any mode of transportation Ticket)
* You also need to provide a Valid-Government issued ID
* Another important requirement is that the Destination must be open for tourist
* Lastly, you must be a tourist and eligible to travel to that destination (This varies per place so be sure to check your destination if you are eligible)
How to avail?
1. Have your requirements ready. Book your flight and hotel in a DOT-accredited accommodation at least a week before your intended travel date.
2. Five (5) days before the flight date, register online at [ Ссылка ]

3. carefully read the guidelines, terms and conditions.
4. Fill out the form which requires your complete name, email address, birthdate, age mobile number, departure and return date and your purpose of travel.
5. Attach the required supporting documents (Note that files must be in PDF/Image format)
* Copy of a valid government-issued ID (Driver’s License, Passport, PRC License, PhilPost ID, UMID, SSS, Voter’s ID, TIN ID, PhilHealth ID, PWD ID, Senior Citizen ID)
* Copy of confirmed accommodation booking with a DOT-Accredited and Open establishment for leisure and staycation, and should be staying in these establishments within the duration of their stay in the destination.
* Copy of roundtrip transportation tickets if applicable (airline/bus/ferry tickets)
6. Make sure you don’t miss any field or attachments before clicking submit.
After Submission
Once submitted, the Tourism Promotions Board (TPB) will evaluate them and inform you of the status of your application within a reasonable time.
In our case, we received a feedback in less than 10 hours. First email is a confirmation of registration and the second one is for approval.
3 days before our flight, we received a confirmation from PCMC that we are scheduled for the swab test, the day after. This is two days before our flight.
Planning is key
The process may look overwhelming but once you plan ahead and follow the steps, it’s actually easy and worth it.
