Rasam Rasso King Soup | Perima's Kitchen Recipe!
This Immune boosting Soup is a classic simple traditional recipe with many medical properties. There are however many variations.
Some include:
Onions, dhal, chilli powder, chicken pieces, potato, birth masala and/or chicken bones to make a broth.
You can experiment using my recipe as a base or enjoy it on its own as a nourishing soup.
Serve as a soup, with basmati rice or even with chicken curry.
Ingredients:
250ml of Warm water (per bowl) x4 cups in total to make one litre
1tbs of Tamarind
1 Diced Tomato
1tsp Cumin / Jeera seeds
A Handful of Garlic Cloves (9 cloves)
A Pinch of Salt
1tsp of Whole black peppercorns
The Stems of Dhania / Coriander / Cilantro
Fresh Curry Leaves
Green Chilies
1tbs of Coconut Oil
1tsp of Mustard Seed
0.25tsp of Methi Seeds / fenugreek
3 - 4 Dried Red Chilies
Extra Curry Leaves (optional)
0.5tsp of Turmeric & ( half a tsp of Kashmiri chili powder optional)
Pink Himalayan Salt
1tsp of Jaggery or Sweetener (Sugar, etc...)
Freshly chopped Coriander / Dhania / Cilantro
