Footage has gone viral online of former US President Donald Trump waving at migrants across the Mexico side of the Rio Grande during his visit to the southern border on Thursday.
Some individuals across the border appeared to chant "Trump," which the 77-year-old interpreted as a sign of liking him.
Trump stopped by Eagle Pass, Texas, alongside Governor Greg Abbott where he was briefed by officials before addressing the public in Shelby Park.
The 77-year old slammed Biden's handling of immigration, calling it a "vicious violation" to the country.
"The United States is being overrun by the Biden migrant crime. It's a new form of a vicious violation to our country," Trump said.
Both Trump and President Joe Biden made simultaneous visits to the border, which has become a key concern for voters leading up to the November election.
