This DIY device for fishing is one that all fishermen need to have on hand. It's super easy to make and costs very little. This method of removing fishing line from a spinning or baitcaster reel is simple and fast.
Materials needed:
-Electric or cordless drill
-Wood dowel rod
-Duct tape
-Wood cutting device to clip off dowel rod
-Pool noodle
How to make a fishing line remover:
Step 1-Cut a 6" piece off of the pool noodle
Step 2-Cut the dowel rod to 10" long
Step 3-Wrap the dowel rod with duct tape to make it thicker so it will fit snug inside of the pool noodle.
Step 4-Slid the tape end of the wood into the noodle
Step 5-Secure the fishing line removal device into the drill
Step 6-Open bail on reel, attach line to removal tool and pull the drill trigger
This fishing line remover can be used over and over again. It's small enough that it can be stored away on a shelf or in a cabinet or drawer. When it comes time to use it again it's a fast and easy way to take line off of your fishing reels.
