In this episode, we travel to Calpe and ride up one of the most famous climbs there: Coll de Rates. Around 600m high, the views were magnificent along the way up, with a fairly gentle gradient throughout. Calpe and the region is where a lot of cycling pros train and I had to go there to see for myself what the hype was all about. I would definitely choose to return to Calpe again for a winter cycling trip.
