Pimenta Barra do Ribeiro, a baccatum from Brazil. Absolutely beautiful looking plant, looks quite similar to Trepediera Werner but aren’t, grow for a couple of years now and it never disappoints, always chock full of pods and grows awesome, looks amazing
The plants get to around a meter tall and are bushy, they need staking or a cage as get wide too, an amazing producer, the pods, nipple shaped get to around 2cm long and have a cool colour change from creamy white then purple tinges, yellow, orange, till finally turning red. They love a cooler climate so has a longer season
What’s it Like?
How Hot is It?
Crisp and crunchy, has a green pea kind of flavour with a bit of sweetness, wow LOVE IT. That flavour stays and stays and every time drool, get that beautiful flavour, the flavour was still going even after the test so retains flavour for a long time
Heat hits pretty quick, in the back of the throat and on the tongue, seems hot for a baccatum, the heat moves forward and settles on the lips and tongue, upper mid heat and a great burn that slowly dissipates but still keeps some heat and was still going after the break.
One of the most beautiful looking plants, never disappoints grow or production wise, tastes amazing and upper mid heat so all round excellent and couldn’t recommend this one more.
