Qantas’ first Airbus A220 has rolled off the production line in France, with a total of 137 seats onboard.
The Airbus A220 doesn’t have its signature red tail, instead boasting its Aboriginal artwork.
It is the first of 29 aircraft ordered by the national carrier as it phases out old aircraft in the existing 717 fleet in its regional network.
The new planes fly twice as far, while also bringing a significant 25 per cent reduction in fuel consumption and carbon emissions.
The plane will slowly make its way to Australia via America and the Pacific next week, before entering service in January.
