Portland, Maine is one of the best foodie cities in the U.S. And when you factor in its population (just 65k people) it's even more impressive how many great restaurants Portland has. But my favorite food around the city isn't anything fancy. When I'm back home I like to grab some famous Maine Italian Sandwiches at Amato's, perhaps the best burgers in the state at Harmon's Lunch, lobster rolls, and some beer from one of Portland's many local breweries.
