This first of four sessions in our upcoming Demography Series introduces the field of study known as “demography.”
The session will outline major themes, including age and sex compositions, world population projections, urbanization, fertility, and migration. We will also look at the history and future trajectory of global population growth and its relevance to globalization, economic transitioning, and environmental degradation.
