Royal commentator Josh Rom says the Sussexes could be trying to take advantage of the royals’ “crisis state” with the awkward timing of the launch of Meghan Markle’s luxury lifestyle brand.
"They either could have launched this to take advantage of the royals being in this crisis state that they are," Mr Rom told Sky News Digital Presenter Gabriella Power.
"And explore that lifestyle option, explore that grand option whilst the royals are facing this.
“Or this could suggest that actually, they always planned to launch it at this time, but it’s incredibly bad timing,” he said.
“Because they’re not in communication with the family much at all, they really don’t know what’s going on, so they launched this at an awkward time for the family."
