Poaching is a problem for many species in Africa, and the world’s largest mammal is one of the biggest victims. Nearly nine tonnes of ivory from 300 African elephants were recently found smuggled into Singapore. So why is this still happening? Our reporter Chantel went to the Sheldrick Wildife Trust in Nairobi to find out.
