Hey everyone! Today's video is a little different but I hope you enjoy...sharing my easy apple cider recipe that I have been making for years and is a huge crowdpleaser at holiday parties. This Holiday cocktail recipe is a batched spiked apple cider cocktail that is perfect for any holiday party, from Halloween to Thanksgiving and even into Christmas. The best part is that it is so easy to make, and you can also make it nonalcoholic by just skipping the alcohol at the end. Big thank you to Brumate for sponsoring this video! How to Make my Hot Spiked Apple Cider:
ingredients:
2 tablespoons butter (or ghee)
10 cups apple cider
1 cup oj
0.5 cup pineapple juice
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 tablespoons honey
15 allspice berries
8 cloves
4 cinnamon sticks
1.5 cup applejack brandy
3/4 cup bourbon
1 orange
1 Apple
Ground Cinnamon
Brown Sugar
In a large pot (or instantpot/slowcooker) melt the butter. Toss in the cinnamon sticks, allspice berries, and cloves and saute for a couple minutes, until fragrant. Pour in your Apple Cider, orange juice, pineapple juice, vanilla extract and honey. Add in the peels from your orange and slice an apple and add to the pot. Let this mixture come to a boil, then lower to a simmer and simmer for at least 15 minutes. Carefully strain out the apples, orange peels, cloves, cinnamon sticks, and allspice berries, so that what you're left with is just the liquid. Next, add in your alcohol (if desired) or leave it out for a non alcoholic beverage. Pour into your backtap and take it with you, or pour back into your pot and set on a low setting to keep it warm. Serve and enjoy! I like to use the cinnamon and brown sugar to rim the glass for an extra touch.
