In this video, Bryan Kromholtz, OP discusses the clear influences of both Aristotelian thought and Neo-platonist thought on Thomas Aquinas. While much of Aquinas' philosophy relies heavily on Aristotle, Professor Kromholtz proposes that reading Aquinas as a "strict" Aristotelian would be incorrect, and directs us to examples of Neo-platonist themes at work in Aquinas' thinking about God, creation and beatitude.
