Terry Hodgkinson aka "wandering ninja" hikes the hill before dawn. "I had fun taking some video clips of cute monkeys and the Jakhu Temple, before taking part in the service. My niece Jessica, was in love with monkeys and asked him to get lots of pictures if he saw any." Terry

Background:
At the top of the famous Jakhu hill is located the famous Jakhu Hindu Temple of Shimla. It is hardly 2 kilometers from the Ridge and is an uphill climb through the beautiful deodar trees. The Jakhu Temple of Simla is dedicated to the monkey God, Hanuman. The Jakhu temple is located at a height of 2455 meters and is situated on the highest peak in Shimla. The scenic view that surrounds this beautiful temple of India is absolutely breath taking and splendid.

"I was invited in for the service. It was so magical and as I was totally immersed into it I didn't take any pictures of video inside. There was singing, chanting, dancing fire passing and a number of instruments used. All of this made thee service inside Jakhu Temple very unique and special. I'm fortunate and thankful that I was invited to participate and have many talks after. " -- Terry
