This module covers anatomy and physiology of two important structures in the Brain - Thalamus and Hypothalamus. It also explains various Thalamic Nuclei and input and output tracts of Thalamus and Hypothalamus.

The Thalamus majorly acts like a relay center for the ascending tracts and descending tracts which sends its signals further to the sensory cortex of the Brain where as Hypothalamus majorly helps in homeostasis of the body by controlling hunger, temperature and sexual activity.
