The surgery was performed by Dr. Kimberly Daffner at the Family Pet Clinic of Redondo Beach. UPDATE Dec 2023 - Dr Daffner passed away last month after losing her fight to cancer. Her surgery gave my dog an incredible quality of life, she helped hundreds if not thousands of dogs like Tortellino.
2 months ago we made the decision to have BOAS surgery on Tortellino! His nares and soft palate were trimmed and now he can breathe better. Finding the right doctor was not easy and we were on the fence about whether we wanted to have this surgery for so long. Here is our video about how we made the decision and what the whole process was like.
The opinions in this video are my own, my advice is not the same as that of a qualified professional. Please do your own research before having any surgery done on your furry friends!
If you need help paying for surgery, consider CareCredit. They offer interest free loans on healthcare and veterinary related bills up to 24 months. Again, I receive no compensation for mentioning them, they're just a great provider that made his surgery a much less painful financial decision.
