We go back to this December 1987 match-up where the Eagles traveled to a windy Giants Stadium. First quarter, Phil Simms connects with Mark Bavaro from 19 yards out giving the Giants an early 7-0 lead. Next Eagles possession Randall Cunningham is sacked by Carl Banks. Second quarter Cunningham is sacked again, this time by Lawrence Taylor. Third quarter, Phil McConkey sets the Giants up with a 31 yard punt return. That set up Raul Allegre from 20 Yards out, 10-6 Giants. Next Eagle possession, Cunningham is sacked by Leonard A. Marshall. Late in the 3rd, Allegre extends the Giants lead to 13-6 with a 46 yard field goal. 4th quarter, Phil Simms connects with Stephen Baker from 16 yards out giving the Giants a 20-6 Lead. Overtime: The captain Harry Carson wins the toss and the Giants defend the east end zone. In Overtime, Lawrence Taylor again sacks Cunningham for the 7th on the day.Next play Banks sacks Cunningham again. Later Phil Sims connects with Mark Bavaro for a 36 yard gain that set up Raul Allegre for the winner from 28 yards out. Final in overtime, Giants win 23-20.
