Easy Infrared Photography using just a filter | Panasonic FZ82 | Zomei 720nm IR filter
I was recently contacteded by a viewer who asked if I thought the Panasonic Lumix FZ82 would be good for Infrared Photography.
I did have to reply that I wasn't sure as I'd never given it a try. This ate away at me, I had to know! I soon found myself online looking at IR filters.
I certainly didn't want to entertain an expensive(and permanent) conversion on the FZ82. I settled for a Zomei 720nm filter which cuts everything below 720 nanometres from the full light spectrum.
Whilst this isn't the ideal conversion it does offer everyone the chance to try infrared without changing their camera drastically and available for less than £20 it won't break the bank either. [ Ссылка ]
I haven't covered the post processing side of Infrared images in this video - there are plenty of good videos on the subject on YouTube, however if viewers require it I will try and produce a post processing video.
Check out Rob Shea's channel on Infrared image photography, he really is a master at it. Rob also created this video on creating at DNG profile for Adobe Lightroom/Photoshop and Adobe Camera Raw which is essential to get the best images on unconverted cameras - [ Ссылка ]
It's a really fun way to create some surreal images using only a cheap filter and a bit of time in photoshop or lightroom.
