Early engagement in work experiences is critical in assisting youth with significant disabilities to successfully obtain employment. In this webinar, Erik Carter, professor of special education at Vanderbilt University, describes the benefits and barriers of work experiences during high school. Additionally, he discusses how to develop a plan for pursuing paid employment, and how to evaluate the quality of employment experiences.
