With not much going on management wise in the middle of summer, Chuck and GiGi took off to Texas for some Axis Deer hunting. Mid-summer is the heart of the Axis rut. Many of the same tactics used for Elk are used to hunt Axis Deer. They're vocal animals and success can be had by spot and stalk which is how Chuck and GiGi were both able to harvest their first Axis bucks.
