Mikhail Talesnik, who was born in 1929 in Ilyintsy and was living there during the war years, recounts how Jewish men and teenage boys from Ilyintsy were arrested, locked into a building in the town, and then, after the separation of those fit for physical labor and skilled workers, were shot to death in the area of Galiki at the edge of a forest.
