Tech inspection is one of the first things you'll need to do when you arrive at the drag strip. If your'e new, it might be intimidating to go through your first technical inspection, but they're really just checking simple things.
Here are the basics: You will want to make sure you have all the appropriate safety gear (helmet cannot be more than 10 years old). They will probably check your neutral safety switch (car cannot start in gear), and they'll ask that you keep your air conditioner OFF throughout the race day (don't want condensation on the track). The more of a "race car" you have, the more things they will check. The battery cut off switch (kill switch) is a big one, make sure the track safety team is able to kill your car from the outside of the car in the case of an accident/emergency. If you're running anything that's not a stock battery mount, you will need to make sure the bolt down brackets and hardware are at least 3/8" size.
