This AU is not very interesting as everything happens the same way, but we will focus more on the feelings Ashfur felt when everything fell apart. Not only Squirrelflight was part of his life, but Tigerstar killing his mother, his sister Ferncloud having her own family and even Cloudtail! Then it occurred to me to test my imagination, and I realized that Ashfur is more complex than he seems. He was not only obsessed with Squirrelflight, but he always wanted to win her love any way he could, but he could never get her to notice him as a mate. Just to not be alone. But this is not what is important. I want to focus on what he really felt; the rejection, the sadness, the anger... so that's when these "Spirits" appear, which are nothing more and nothing less than Ashfur's inner feelings. They are constantly laughing at him, rejecting him and even reminding him how pathetic his life is and all his failures. All those Spirits are cats he knows very well, Squirrelfight, Brambleclaw, Brindleface... and those that affected his life and part of his actions. So in the end he wants to finish with all those Spirits around him, but when he reacted it was too late. His actions and the constant pressure from the Spirits got him killed.
