Finally! I get to explain an Ed Sheeran song! "Castle on the Hill" is a cool, nostalgic look back at a formative time for Ed. In the song, he remembers his childhood and "teenagerhood" and basically just sings about them, remembering some of the good and the bad. He sings about his friends, he sings about the area he grew up, he sings about what he used to spend time doing. Basically, if you're a super fan of Ed Sheeran, "Castle on the Hill" is very autobiographical; you'll learn a lot listening to it. But you'll also, perhaps, get to enjoy your own nostalgia--I think "Castle on the Hill" may prompt wistful memories of your own too. In any case, it's an interesting song, and I've explained it here for you, so enjoy!
