Adjustable Dumbbells are one of the first things home gym owners add to their setups. They take up less space, are more affordable, and allow for a variety of training in comparison to fixed dumbbells. In some ways, they're superior.

But, when you decide on adjustable dumbbells, you then have to decide on the brand and model. Today, I'm comparing two of the front-runners. Powerblocks, one of the original adjustable dumbbells with NÜOBELLs, the latest and greatest adjustable dbell.

Which is the best adjustable dumbbell for most home gym owners? The answer may surprise you...

Just wanted to provide some more context after seeing some comments on pricing of Powerblocks. I decided to go on the ol' Wayback Machine and compare the release of the Best Adjustable DB content and price changes for Powerblock.

They actually weren't as close together as I assumed when we recorded this review. Nearly every company has been raising prices this year as well, so it's not surprising a USA-made product like the Elite series jumped in price.

I stand by the comment that I think Powerblocks and NÜOBELLs are getting closer in competing for the best value spot, but I hate making a statement that varies from reality. Hopefully, prices decrease in 2022 as owning a home gym continues to get more expensive across the board.
