The Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 is the successor to the Galaxy Watch 4 and remains a smartwatch that's just for Android phone owners.
Running on the latest version of Google's Wear OS operating system (which Samsung helped to rebuild), the Watch 5 makes some small changes to the design and bolsters things in the software department that should make it a better running watch than its predecessor.
That includes adding estimated sweat loss readings to offer hydration advice and now provides real-time recovery insights after a hit of cardio.
Tester Mike has been putting in the running time with the Galaxy Watch 5 to find out if Samsung's latest smartwatch is a big running upgrade on the Galaxy Watch 4 and whether it's actually the best Android smartwatch available for runners.
