Here's the loading time difference between Western Digital WD standard 7200 rpm hard drive HDD (on the left) and a Samsung SSD model 860 Evo (on the right).
Both on the same specs iMac 2008.
Almost half the time less with the Samsung SSD. It's worth the small investment in order to give you iMac some more years to come.
