Former Australian ambassador to the US Joe Hockey says the attempted assassination of Donald Trump has “guaranteed” US President Joe Biden “will not step down”.
Former US president Donald Trump survived an assassination attempt at his rally in Pennsylvania over the weekend.
“It has guaranteed, in my view, that Joe Biden will not step down,” Mr Hockey told Sky News host Peta Credlin.
“Joe Biden is not going to run away from a fight – never has in his life.
“He's not going to cower and give up.”
