This webinar discusses the findings of a survey of qualitative researchers on the impact the pandemic has had on their research. The survey was conducted at the end of April - May 2020 when the crisis was at its peak in Europe and North America. Follow-up in--depth interviews were conducted in June-July as the pandemic receded in that part of the world. Questions posed include whether the ways researchers have had to pivot their research to accommodate the limitations put on face to face interaction will have a lasting effect or not on how qualitative researchers conduct research as well as their career prospects. The experiences and views of webinar participants will be sought in what should be a lively interactive discussion.
