12/12/21. Flatiron is arguably the most popular hikes in the Superstition Mountains (Sups for short). Most people start in Lost Dutchman State Park and go up Siphon Draw, but I park on First Water Road and go across Jaco'bs Crosscut to save myself the park fee and get a warmup in. This is very steep and strenuous if you aren't used to hiking these types of grades. There will be many other people on the trail. Going up to Point 5024 is much better, in my opinion!
