I am using a YAG laser to treat a broad, diffuse vitreous membrane. This is the this 'sheet' usually attached to the retina in youth, and peels away from it in the event of a Posterior Vitreous Detachment. They are often not easily seen on examination, but this one is a doozy and pretty much spreads out as a diffusion membrane affecting the entire visual field. They are technically difficult to treat and require persistence, but I was able to improve the condition significantly and avoid the need for a more invasive surgical vitrectomy.
