Alison has created a series of videos about the latest research with regards to Greater Trochanteric Pain Syndrome (GTPS). GTPS is the name that researchers have now assigned to the pain that you feel over the outside (lateral part) of your hip. It includes both hip bursitis and gluteal tendinopathy. Why bother renaming it to GTPS? Because we have come to understand that the pain you feel in that area is very often caused by more than one structure so it's best to not focus on just the bursa or just the tendons. In this video Alison looks at all the structures that are located in that area of your hip and why they may may be causing you pain.
