Programing HomeLink
HomeLink is integrated in the rearview mirror and consists of three programmable buttons and an indicator light in the mirror.
Opening and closing your garage door can be directly linked to the Homelink device in your rearview mirror so you don't have to use ant extra remotes.
Aim the garage door remote control towards the Homelink button to be programed and hold it approximately 1-3 inches from the button.
Do not obstruct the indicator lamp on Hmelink.
Press and hold the button on the remote control and the button to be programed on the HomeLink.
Do not release the buttons until the indicator lamp has switched from flashing slowly, approximately once per second, to flashing quickly, approximately 10 times per second or illumination with a constant glow.
If the indicator lamp illuminates with a constant glow, programing is completed.
Press the programmed button twice to activate.
If the indicator lamp flashed quickly, the device to be programed to HomeLink may have a security function that requires extra steps.
Test by pressing the programmed button twice to see whether the program is working.
Otherwise, continue with the following steps.
Locate programing button on the receiver for the garage door.
It is normally located close to the antenna's bracket.
Depress and release the receiver's program button once.
The programing must be completed within 30 seconds of the button being depressed.
Press and release the button on the HomeLink
that you want to program.
You can repeat this process to program the other HomeLink buttons.
