Reloading a Mosin-Nagant rifle is pain. The soviet clips work better than the repros, but they still suck, right? Well yes, but also no.
It is possible to load a Mosin-Nagant not necessarily smoothly, but at the very least painlessly.
The design of the Mosin-Nagant magazine is the reason why reloads are sticky and horrible. It doesn't have to do with the clips. But once you understand how the magazine works, you can overcome it and actually reload the gun before your cake is done in the oven.
Guns used:
Swedish M96 Long Rifle, Carl Gustav 1901 Manufacture
Finnish M91 Mosin-Nagant, Tikka 1943 Manufacture
