Rising over 15,000 ft, the Pamir Highway is the second-highest highway in the world. In January 2020, three geniuses set out to drive it in a fragile Russian van in the dead of winter.
Their goal was to discover unclimbed ice somewhere along the 2,900 miles of winding frozen road. Did they succeed? Perhaps. But one thing is for sure, the trip didn't go as planned.
