The UAMS Myeloma Institute is one of the largest centers in the world for research and clinical care related to myeloma and related disorders. •Use tandem bone marrow/peripheral blood stem cell transplants
•Perform transplants on an outpatient basis
•Safely transplant patients age 70 and above
•Introduce thalidomide as anti-angiogenesis therapy
