In this video, we will talk about how to maximize your quad growth with simple techniques. The quads are an easy muscle to train as they are made up of four different muscles. Three of these muscles are known as the VA muscles, all of which are attached to the femur bone and crossed the knee joint. This includes the VAs ladders, which are located on the outside of the thigh, the VA medias, which is located on the inside of the thigh, and it's responsible for the teardrop shape above the knee and the fastest intermediate, which fits directly in the middle of the thigh, however, the fastest inter.
The rectus femoris, the fourth quad muscle, is unique as it actually crosses the knee and the hip joint, meaning it's the only quad muscle with multiple functions. While training the rectus femoris muscle is not as simple as it sounds, most of your quad training should be focused on extending or straightening the knee.
To maximize your quad growth, you need to stretch the rectus femoris muscle under load, and the only way to do that is to perform the opposite action simultaneously, such as hip extension and knee flexion. This video will show you exercises such as sissy squats and quad fallouts that will help you to stretch the rectus femoris muscle under load and maximize its growth.
We will also discuss some techniques to emphasize the involvement of your quads when performing squats, such as a narrow stance and increasing the amount of knee flexion. It's important to include variety in your quad-focused workouts, so we will talk about the movement patterns you should be doing, including squats, lunges, and single-leg presses.
