Why I sold my 2014 Ducati 899 Panigale?
I got SCREWED.

INSURANCE. The one and only reason why I was forced to sell this beautiful machine was the insurance premiums in Ontario are atrocious. At over $600 a month, it did not make financial sense to keep this motorcycle any longer until insurance gets reduced. If you are asking why would I buy the motorcycle if I knew this? When I was originally quoted, they quoted me about $200, then 4 months later, that turned to over $600. Insurance in Ontario is the highest in the world, especially with Supersports. It does not help that this year specifically, all insurance rates for Supersports have increased dramatically. For some curious, I am a 26 years old with a 2 minor tickets in the last 3 years, less then 1 year of experience with an M2. 1 ticket will be dropping off next year. To put in perspective, my 2006 Lexus IS350 the insurance is $100 a month, and my Ducati was over $600. The Ninja 250 is $100 a month now.

I plan to get back in another one and hunt for other insurance companies, in the meantime.
