Blood in the stools of the child can be worrisome for the child. The most common causes for blood in the stools of the child could be fissures. The anal fissures could develop in children who are having chronic constipation and they get cut in the anus which bleeds when they pass stools. Another common cause can be diarrhea. In such conditions, the stool will be watery frequency and be mixed with blood. Certain foods like tomato, beetroot or watermelon can mimic Blood in the stools.
