British hospitals are scrambling to find space to treat COVID-19 patients amid a dangerous surge in new cases.
Doctors said residents were being treated in the back of ambulances because there were no hospital vacancies despite strict pandemic restrictions.
Meanwhile, a medical expert has told Sky News that the vaccine developed by Oxford University and AstraZeneca will not bring changes to life in the UK for some time yet.
Dr Bharat Pankhania, a senior clinical lecturer at the University of Exeter, said it would still take about 50 weeks to immunise 50 million people.
