Knowing how to teach English to young children effectively is something all TEFL teachers should endeavour to learn. You will require a different teaching approach teaching English to children than you do with adults. Kids have a smaller attention span and have different motivations to learn English.

Some teachers wrongly think that you just need to play ESL games with kids and laught to be a good teacher; there is more to it than that. Being an effective EFL teacher for kids needs teachers to be more than fun and with a love for children. Young learner teachers need to have a good grasp of classroom management and have a firm set of rules and routines in place in your classroom. Your children will be happier, more motivated and will enjoy learning English more.
