Osteoarthritis (progressive degeneration of cartilage on joint surfaces) affects more than 70% of people over 55, and there’s no current cure. But there is hope.
Researchers from USC’s Keck School of Medicine recently identified key cells involved in the process of cartilage regeneration in lizards.
What does that mean for us humans? Eventually, this breakthrough could pave the way for innovative osteoarthritis treatments, potentially allowing us to regrow our own cartilage.
For now, getting physical is one of the best ways to treat osteoarthritis. Yoga is the perfect activity.
