Although the kinetic chain has a precise sequence (feet, legs, hips, shoulders, arm, hand), this coordinated movement can be simplified to help the average tennis player. The big error I see are player's thinking the arm should be passive and propelled by the body. This leads to poor timing and a lack of control. Try to rotate your hips and shoulders together, but understand that the shoulders should be rotating more than the hips if you want to hit with power. Additionally, through your arm, like skimming a stone across a pond, and you'll have efficient and effective forehand technique.
