How easy can we commit idolatry?

God said have no other gods before Him. Do not make a carved image (have no idols). But what if we think wrong things about God? What if we entertain thoughts about God unworthy of Him?

Entertaining unworthy thoughts about God is the essence of idolatry. Tozer has mentioned, “Nothing is easier than to think. Nothing is more difficult than to think well.” God has revealed who He is and has expressed Himself well in the Bible. According to studies, approximately 20% of Christians regularly read their Bibles. Only 20%! No wonder there are so many false conceptions of God stirring around Christianity. Let us allow Him to reveal who He is rather than entertaining thoughts unworthy of Him.
