Deep sea creatures are very mysterious due to their relatively large size. Most of the deep sea creatures are extremely larger than the similar species of the same. This strange and mysterious phenomenon is called Deep Sea Gigantism. The best example of the deep sea gigantism is the giant squid and the colossal squid. All other squid species are seen above abyssal zone of the ocean and all of them are no more than 1 meter long. But, the deep sea squids are more than 12 meters long. That means they are 10 times larger than all the other squid species seen above the abyssal zone.
