A History of Britain: Robert the Bruce the True Hero of Scotland
It is 1314, and the footsteps of the English army on the march to Stirling castle are all that break the silence. Suddenly, an army of Scots appear out the trees rushing down onto the English. Before they know what has happened, countless English soldiers lay dead and the King only just escapes with his life. Robert the Bruce has just struck the defining blow against the English, ending their presence North of the border, and setting the foundations for the recognition of an independent Scotland. Later branded a traitor by Hollywood in the film Braveheart this is the true story of Robert the Bruce, King of Scotland.
