The Australian Financial Review’s senior correspondent Aaron Patrick says Dominic Perrottet is the “great hope in Australia for political conservatives”.
“The really interesting thing about Dominic Perrottet is he’s a conservative, and he’s a proud conservative,” Mr Patrick told Sky News host Sharri Markson.
“This is a man who believes in family, believes in traditional values, and believes in small government.
Mr Patrick noted there hasn’t been a successful leader from the conservative wing of the Liberal Party “since John Howard".
“So this in a way, is the great right hope, as I write in a column for tomorrow’s paper.”
