ETFs vs Mutual Funds - what’s the difference?
They are alike in a lot of ways but there’s a few key differences.
•
Most ETFs are considered “passive”, meaning the fund manager is not trying to outperform their benchmark, whereas most Mutual Funds are “active”, trying to beat the benchmark.
•
Because of this key difference, ETFs are generally lower cost and more tax-efficient.
