In this video i'll show you how to calculate and accurately bend a compound 90 degree bend. I'll give you the formulas that you need to bend a compound 90 for all three types of obstructions, round, square and rectangle. Most electricians, if they do know the formulas still don't know how to find and locate the first bend accurately. I'll give you that information as well. In my time mostly every one a came across always eye balls the bend. Anyway Please like , share and subscribe.
Round Obstruction Formula:
Diameter of obstruction X 2.4= spacing between bends
Square Obstruction Formula:
Measurement of one of the 4 sides X 3 = Spacing btwn bends
Rectangle Obstruction Formula:
Length + Width X 1.4 = Spacing between bends
Formula to find Point A (first bend)
Step 1: Spacing between bends Divided by 1.4 = unknown distance
Step 2: unknown distance - the length of stub you want = Point A
Point B = The spacing between bends.
